Media Advisory: Move-In Coverage

RE: Residence Hall Move In
What has become an annual tradition, Western Illinois University President Al Goldfarb and other senior-level administrators will again be a part of WIU’s Move In Crew Saturday, Aug. 22.
Goldfarb, along with Provost Jack Thomas and Vice Presidents Jackie Thompson (Administrative Services) and Garry Johnson (Student Services) will help students move into Thompson, Bayliss, Henninger and Tanner halls. The group will begin their shift around 9 a.m. at Thompson Hall.
Media interested in interviewing new students and taking photographs and video should arrive around 9 a.m. at Thompson Hall.
Due to traffic congestion and to avoid getting caught in move-in lines, media are asked to park in the following lots: Higgins Hall lot (directly south of Thompson Hall); the lot between Western Hall and Waggoner Hall; or the Horrabin Hall lot (across the street from the Malpass Library).
