MACOMB, IL – — On Friday, Oct. 30, the Student Alumni Association (SAA) at Western Illinois University will host Paint the Paws. The event was postponed earlier this month due to inclement weather. Paint the Paws is the event during which WIU students, alumni, faculty and staff help repaint the Leathernecks’ Paws along University Drive and Western Avenue.
SAA will host two shifts, the first one beginning at 1 p.m. and the second one beginning at 2:30 p.m. From noon–2:30 p.m., all participants are welcome to eat the complimentary lunch that will be served on Western Hall’s lawn.
Painters should check-in at Western Hall prior to their shifts; SAA will provide supplies to all attendees and groups. Each student group will be paired with an alumni group or a participating office on campus.
