CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — Running back Mikel Leshoure rushed for 180 yards and two touchdowns and quarterback Nathan Scheelhaase added 115 yards and another score to lead the Fighting Illini (2-1) past Northern Illinois, 28-22 on Saturday.
It was Leshoure’s fourth-straight 100-yard game dating to the end of the 2009 season.
