Not many people really do care about the NBA lockout it seems. ESPN reports 73% of people polled DID NOT care if the NBA season started on time.

I certainly do not care.

Clock below for the latest opinion on this issue.
http://www.google.com/search?gcx=w&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=nba+lockout+nobody+cares

Here are some quotes as of 10/05/2011

_

Former Rockets coach Jeff Van Gundy is worried that nobody cares about the NBA lockout.

“You know what I was thinking about … is how very few people care about the NBA lockout,” Van Gundy said on KILT in Houston this week. “You just don’t hear people talk. If it wasn’t on sports talk or ESPN… would anybody even know?

_

Here is a Yahoo Question

Why does nobody care about the NBA lockout?

I am just basing this off of the NFL lockout. With the NFL lockout they constantly talked about it on ESPN and other media sources, havn’t really heard much about the NBA lockout. I remember during the NFL lockout the football section was full of lockout related questions, not much here. Why? Thoughts?

Here are the answers

I think networks like ESPN do care — they just don’t have anything new to report on it at the moment.
I’m sure ESPN is itching to get some NBA

Well, there’s nothing really new with the NBA lockout. No progress really.
People like the NFL more than NBA
I personally like the NBA more.

Because Football is only played here. so their players will have to do everything to keep playing, while NBA players can just go and play overseas

Because nobody cares about the NBA

I totally agree… Espn was all over the nfls nuts buy maybe they’ll do it when it comes closer

Illinois run game continues to be a strong point. The defense is lacking in all areas as NIU pulled out some tricks at the end of the game.

University of Illinois and Western Illinois Football Hit All Time Low

University of Illinois and Western Illinois Football Hit All Time Low

Illinois has a 4th year senior in Juice Williams. He has a team around him. What the heck happened? Maybe ask the offensive coach calling the plays. Maybe ask the whole coaching staff what they were doing during training camp.

Then you lose to Indiana. Nothing more to say besides the whole team looks like it is just waiting for the year to end.

Western Illinois has a returning quarterback. We lose and lose some more. Starting QB Barr has surgery ending 24 or so straight games.

Then you lose to Indiana St. This is the same Indiana St. had 33 game losing streak. They even scheduled Quincy College, yes Quincy Illinois to start the season and lost to them. Yet some how WIU managed to lose this one.

==

“TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) — Indiana State won for the first time in more than three years on Saturday, defeating Western Illinois 17-14 and ending the nation’s longest losing streak at 33 games.

Ryan Roberts scored his second touchdown on a 4-yard run with 4 minutes 12 seconds to play as the Sycamores drove 80 yards for the winning score. Roberts, a sophomore quarterback, had a 91-yard scoring run earlier in the game and finished with 160 yards rushing in the game for Indiana State (1-7, 1-4 Missouri Valley).

Only Prairie View A&M (80 games), Columbia (44) and Northwestern (34) have ever lost more games consecutively. The Sycamores hadn’t won since beating Missouri State 28-22 on Oct. 21, 2006.”

May 5th, 2009

1989 – Jerome Walton earned Rookie Of The Year hitting .293 with 24 stolen bases. Fans took notice when he ran up a 30 game hitting streak and became a fan favorite.

In seasons he played over 100 games, that was his best season as his average and stolen bases were tops his rookie year.

In 1990 Walton hit .263, then in 1991 his hitting slipped to .219, and finally he hit .127 to end his Cubs career and joined the then California Angels

2008 – Geovany Soto earned Rookie Of The Year hitting .284 with 23 home runs and 86 RBI’s. He was the first rookie to ever start at catch for the National League in the All Star Game.

This season Soto is hitting .215, with 1 home run and 12 RBI’s.

Mike Holgrem on Cutler: "And he's a young quarterback. And I know this, those guys are hard to find. They really are."

“We played against Jay in Denver, it may have been his first start,” Holmgren said. “He was a little wild, but he has really good ability. He can really throw it. And I didn’t begin to comment on how he’s developed and things like that because, but he went to the Pro Bowl. And he’s a young quarterback. And I know this, those guys are hard to find. They really are.

“If you have one then you have to cultivate it and build up a trust and ride that horse all the way. And it surprised me a little bit, to be honest. I think it’s a wonderful thing for the Bears. I think the Bears have always been a difficult team to play, and their defense has always been very, very strong. And they’ve always had some question marks over the years at quarterback, and this seems to have solved that problem. I expect it to be a very good thing for Chicago.”

Without Ron Rivera the Bears defense has not been the same. The Bears have the highest paid defense in the league and are getting older. This season we will learn how much Ron Rivera was key to the defense success of the 2006 Super Bowl team the seasons prior.

1) Will the Bear’s defense rebound this year?

2) Will San Diego’s defense, now headed by Ron Rivera prove out his coaching ability?

“The man who took over, and who will lead the unit in ’09, is Ron Rivera. Rivera has guided one defense to a Super Bowl, and looks to double that number this year.

Helping Rivera will be a couple of former assistants from Chicago in Don Johnson (defensive line) and Steve Wilks (secondary). The team will also benefit from two pass-rushers in the lineup—the return of three-time Pro Bowler Shawne Merriman and first-round draft pick Larry English.”
