Interviews, Open Sessions Set for Director of Scholarship Office

MACOMB, IL — Interviews for four candidates for the Western Illinois University Director of University Scholarship Activities will be held on WIU’s Macomb campus between Thursday, Jan. 7 and Friday, Jan. 22, 2010.

The candidates and their interview dates include: Teresa Hare, associate director of financial aid at Western, Thursday, Jan. 7; Lorette Oden, professor of health sciences at Western, Friday, Jan. 8; Craig Schmidt, director of development at Iowa State University Foundation (Ames, IA), Thursday, Jan. 14; and Kellie Esters, vice president of fund development at the Scott County (Iowa) YMCA in Davenport, Friday, Jan. 22.

The interviews for each candidate will include an open session with the Macomb and campus communities. The schedule for each candidate’s open session follows:

Hare: 2-2:45 p.m. Jan. 7, University Union Sandburg Lounge;

Oden: 2-2:45 p.m. Jan. 8, University Union Sandburg Lounge;

Schmidt: 10-10:45 a.m. Jan. 14, University Union Sandburg Lounge; and

Esters: 2-2:45 p.m. Jan. 22, University Union Sandburg Lounge.

Janice Owens, former director of the Western Illinois University Scholarship Activities, retired Jan. 1, 2010, after 27 years of service.
